Item Description

A wonderful, rare and colorful floater thumbnail pseudomorph from this well-known locale. Corocoro is known for its unique pseudomorphs of copper after aragonite and this is an outstanding example. This striking "disco-ball shaped" cluster of intergrown pseudo-hexagonal aragonite crystals has been replaced by copper, then rare malachite has been selectively deposited on the interiors of the pseudos, adding much color. A rare style combination cutie from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
