Item Description

These famous pseudomorphs from Corocoro, Bolivia are some of the most iconic minerals from any locality in the entire country. There is only one place in the world where this specific type of pseudomorph of Copper after Aragonite is found. These specimens are instantly recognizable for their classic form and this piece features the unique pseudo-hexagonal shape that has made these some of the most highly sought after pseudomorphs around. This particular piece is fully crystallized and complete all around, making it a complete "floater", but the most impressive aspect is that it is amazingly sharp, and not at all distorted / rounded like so many can be from Corocoro. You rarely see pieces this size with such distinct, well-formed faces. If you collect thumbnails, pseudomorphs or native elements, be sure to get these while they're available because the locality has been purchased by a Korean mining company and all of the pseudomorphs are being crushed and melted for their copper content.
