Item Description

The Upper Peninsula is famous for its amazing Copper specimens, but wires are exceedingly rare in my experience. Unlike Silver or Gold, Copper doesn't often form in wires, especially from Michigan. This piece features a couple thin curled wires of Copper measuring up to 5 mm associated with translucent off-white colored Quartz and muted green Prehnite on matrix. If you collect native elements, minerals from Michigan or just cool thumbnails don't let this one get away. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
