Item Description
Quality native copper specimens are RARE from any of the numerous copper mines in Copiapo Province of Chile. This dramatically sculptural large specimen is composed of flattened, arborescent copper nicely attached to a piece of porphyry matrix. The amazing projecting "arm" and striking lattice-like form of the overall spinel-twinned copper gives a singular artistic look to the piece. The red Cuprite tint on the copper and bit of scattered green Malachite add even more color and character to this rare and impressive large copper from Chile. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
