Item Description

A sculptural copper with cuprite specimen from the famous Ray Mine. This biomorphic piece looks a shaggy, four-legged animal with large head (a buffalo?). Very sharp and moderately sharp tetrahexahedral copper crystals with some spinel-twins and a sparkly, cuprite, overcoated patina comprise this very nifty piece. This piece comes from a recently uncovered stash from the well-known copper mine, as the specimens were collected in 1959!
