Item Description

An excellent and attractive full miniature display specimen of these fairly new and very eye-catching Copper / Cuprite association specimens from the Poteryaevskoe Mine in Siberia. The bright, metallic, sharp, lustrous modified dodecahedral, octahedral, and tetrahexahedral Copper crystals are associated with very dark red (nearly black unless backlit) octahedra of Cuprite sprinkled all over the display side of the piece. Rarely does one encounter such beautiful association of crystallized Copper and Cuprite from any world locality such as this. Valued at $1750 retail, and based on what we saw in Munich, the prices on these specimens seem to be on the rise.
