A dramatic, CABINET, copper specimen from Copper Country and the Sal Avella Collection. Highly unusual, melted-look, intergrown, copper crystals line a striking, well-placed vug in solid, hackly, copper matrix. The copper crystals have an amazing variable patina of purple to brick-red to iridescent golden! Small pockets of quartz crystals and/or zeolites are a nice accent. This is old-time, unusual and very showy material from this historic US locale. Valued at $1500. Hefty, rich copper ore at 5.1 pounds or 2.3 kilos.
