Coquimbite is a relatively rare hydrated iron aluminum sulfate and this piece consists of relatively large, well-formed crystals for the species! Color ranges from yellow-cream to pale violet with crystals up to a centimeter in length! This is a relatively colorful specimen that is an excellent representative for the species, a good example from this small 2009 find.
