Item Description

Cosalite is an uncommon lead, bismuth sulfosalt and this is a very fine and rare combination specimen from this well-known locale. Nested, jackstraw sprays of metallic cosalite needles to 1.8 cm are aesthetically scattered on the undulating quartz crystal matrix. A 1.5 cm band of lustrous, brass-yellow, pyrite crystals is a nifty accent. A rare occurrence is the 1.6 cm, lustrous and translucent, cuboctahedral fluorite crystal on the right side, which is colored gray by inclusions of cosalite. Uncommonly excellent and rare combination material from the Schlichter Collection. Valued at $350.
