Summitville, Colorado covellite of this quality is rarer than Butte covellite and is considered by many to be the finest covellite in the world. This striking specimen features large, layered metallic plates of iridescent, golden and purple covellite on all sides. One large face of the sculptural, triangular piece is solidly golden iridescent, which is fairly uncommon for this locale.
