Summitville, Colorado covellite of this quality is rarer than Butte covellite and is considered by many to be the finest covellite in the world. This striking specimen features large, layered metallic plates of iridescent, golden, peacock-blue and magenta covellite on all sides. Several faces on the piece have riveting golden and peacock-blue! Essentially solid covellite, this is an outstanding example of the species and famous locale. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
