Item Description

An extremely hard to find specimen of the copper lead iron silicate Creaseyite from the type locality! This piece features micro green acicular "tufts" of Creaseyite which are associated with a few tabular bright orange colored crystals of Wulfenite on host rock matrix. Yes, this is a micro specimen, and we've photographed it with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality, so if you collect rarities, Arizona minerals or specifically material from Tiger, don't miss out on this attractive and elusive specimen from this famous locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11604). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
