Item Description

Until these Creedites were discovered, as with the pink Fluorites from the same locality, good crystallized specimens were exceedingly rare and expensive from ANY locality. Suddenly, you could own a really fine Creedite without selling your house to get it. Then we heard that the mining was FINISHED, apparently for good, so these visually captivating specimens immediately took on more importance. This is a complete floater ball, covered with large, gemmy and colorful orange Creedite crystals to 1 cm in length! Old Larry Conklin label with a $750 price, from the early 2000s. From the collection of East Coast collector, George Elling, specializing in historic minerals of the East Coast and minerals from the development of old European mineralogy.
