Item Description

Classic, beautiful lavender colored radial "spray" of translucent Creedite on dark Smoky Quartz from the famous discovery at the Akchatau Mine in the early 1990s. The largest Creedite group measures 2.5 at its longest dimension. Creedite crystals with the purple color are rare, and the specimens from Kazakhstan are very hard to find on the market these days. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12191). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
