Item Description
The finest Crocoite crystals in the world are those from the famous Red Lead Mine in Tasmania. This is a classic old time example. The crystal has a bit of attached matrix where it seems to have grown against the pocket wall on one end, so it's not truly terminated, but it does exhibit that fiery electric reddish-orange color that is synonymous with this well-known lead chromate. Good internal gemminess when backlit.
