Artistically sculptural two-sided crystallized copper from the Pewabic Lode of Copper Country. Four, sharp flattened, skeletal modified tetrahexahedrons, to 1.2 cm, rise up like the backbone plates of a Stegosaurus dinosaur from the aesthetic dense cluster of spinel-twinned crystals. The subtle variable patina on the different sized crystals and skeletal features add contrast and pizzazz. This superlative and classic old-time specimen is on consignment from a private Michigan collection who gave it to us to auction for quick sale. Fairly valued at $750-1000 based on other specimens of this classic style on the market at shows.
