Item Description

The Huanzala Mine of Peru has arguably produced the world's finest pyrites and this specimen is an outstanding example. Striking, mirror-bright, brass-yellow, flat-topped, cuboctahedrons comprise this sculptural specimen. The largest crystal is 4.3 cm and these crystals look like Mayan pyramids. A RARE and desirable accessory to this piece is the twinned crystal. The textbook form and intense color and luster are top notch. A modest bit of peripherywear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. Classic Huanzala material with several excellent display views! Specimens of this rare quality came out in the 1970s and 80s. Ex Consie Prince Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Valued at $650-750 due to rarity and quality.
