Item Description

A RARE and striking combination from the deep Germanite ore zone at this renowned locale (early 1990s). Tsumeb is the Type Locality for this rare Ge-sulfosalt, which also includes brassy chalcopyrite. This exceptional piece hosts two vugs lined with two different generations of cuprian adamite, plus other green Cu-oxides. The 1.7 cm vug is lined and filled with highly lustrous, translucent, grass-green adamite crystals. The exposed 2.5 cm vug on the other end has dark multi-hued green adamite crystals, to 4 mm, plus green Cu-oxides and probable glassy, colorless calcite sections. Valued at $1000 for the colorful combination and rarity
