Cuprian Dolomite casts after Calcite (Zukowski Coll.)

Item Description

Very pretty, light mint-green, cuprian dolomite has pseudomorphed sharp calcite scalenohedrons on this striking, sculptural, crust from Tsumeb. The specimen is extremly light weight for its size, like balsa wood, as a few broken tips on the pseudos reveal, that they are hollow! Hence, the pseudos are casts after the calcite crystals. A rare, excellent and very showy pseudomorph from Tsumeb from the Matthew Zukowski Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! A smaller version of the above specimen, but no less fine
