Item Description

Intergrown very sharp tetrahexahedral and spinel-twinned copper crystals form a striking and aesthetic two sided 'U' or 'smile' from the famed and extinct Onganja (Emke) Mine. Most of the crystals have a beautiful preferential red cuprite coating, which is a fine contrast to the coppery patina of the uncoated crystals. The renowned locale has produced world-class cuprite and copper specimens. An exceptionally cute, colorful and sculptural copper from the locale.
