Item Description

Sharp cuprite octahedrons coated with malachite, to 5 mm, are aesthetically scattered in the vug lined with spherical aggegates of sparkly, tiny oxide-included cerussite crystals on the hefty sulfide ore matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 1067 and acquired from the Shale's in the 1950s. Previously in the Keuser Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and excellent older Tsumeb combination material.
