Thousands of scintillating, sharp, wine-red, cuprite crystals to 4 mm cover the entire surface of the vuggy, sculptural specimen of SOLID cuprite on this very rich copper ore specimen from the famous mines at Bisbee. Classic, old-time and showy material from the Robert Whitmore Collection. The piece has a biomorphic look to it, like a resting dog with its head and nose up. Hefty at 509 grams or over 1.1 pounds.
