Item Description

The Musonoi Mine was the source of the finest crystallized examples of Cuprosklodowskite in the world. This rare hydrated copper uranium silicate has one of the most intense green colors in the mineral kingdom. This thumbnail sized specimen features many electric emerald green color "needle"-like crystals associated with forest green Malachite on minor matrix. The largest Cuprosklodowskite crystal measures 7 mm long. Good quality and just beautiful in person. These specimens made a big splash on the market almost 50 years ago, but are hardly seen today. If you've ever wanted to get a piece of this beautiful material, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10631). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
