Datolite is a not a very common gem in stones over 2 carats, as most localities do not produce gem material for cutting stones of any size. This gem is very attractive for the material. The stone is slightly included, which is not uncommon in gems this size. The stone is essentially colorless and has a "Cushion" cut. The Russian Datolite has slowly been disappearing from the market over the last 10 years, and these gems are becoming more and more difficult to find in any quantity.
