Item Description
Sharp, lustrous, translucent, light pastel-green, datolite crystals form a showy and excellent specimen from the Howard Belsky Collection. The striking, large crystal is 4.0 cm. Howard's label says Mount Altai, USSR, but we speculate that this piece is actually from the Bor Pit at Dal'negorsk. Howard died in 1987, so this would be a VERY EARLY specimen from Dal'negorsk, that was smuggled out prior to the demise of the USSR. Value of such a historic old-timer?
