Datolite casts after Anhydrite (ex Rich Kosnar collection)

Item Description

The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been a seldom collected quarry for years, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species. This piece features no Zeolites, but hosts attractive, sculptural, sharp, blocky, striated, hollow "casts" of Datolite after Anhdyrite. There are several sharp, gemmy Datolite crystals on front side of specimen as well, giving the piece some great character. A wonderful example of this classic Trap Rock material.
