Item Description

An early specimen from Dal'negorsk that is loaded with sparkling "jewel"-like colorless crystals of razor-sharp, highly lustrous Datolite sitting on white milky prismatic Quartz on matrix. There are literally hundreds of Datolites on the piece which range from a few mm up to 1.1 cm. Some of the larger crystals are textbook in form with stunningly brilliant faces and good internal gemminess. This piece is probably from some of the first Datolites to reach the western market out of this famous Russian locality. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #xxxx).
