Item Description

An incredibly hard to find specimen of sharp, lustrous, translucent, soft golden colored crystals of Datolite that are accented by dark green crystals of either Pumpellyite or Julgoldite with assocaited white radiating "spheres" of Pectolite on minor diabase matrix. I've only seen one other specimen of this material, and if you collect trap rock minerals or odd specimens from Germany or Europe in general, don't miss out on this one! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2898). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
