Item Description

Porcellanite is a group of siliceous-rocks that have the texture, luster and conchoidal fracture of porcelain and somewhat resembles jasper. This is a rare and sculptural large polished blue-gray slab with striking brown crossed dentritic features. Mineral specimens are rare from this large abandoned open pit quarry, that was active from 1951-1998 and porcellanite is EXTREMELY RARE on the market. Beautiful and RARE material from a Czech Collection with a 1983 date.
