Item Description

The Moctezuma Mine in Sonora, Mexico the type locality for fifteen species, including the very rare calcium manganese tellurite, Denningite, which was named in 1963 after Reynolds McConnell Denning, a mineralogy professor at the University of Michigan. This specimen features soft greenish-yellow Denningite associated with prismatic yellow-orange Tellurite on matrix from the type locality. If you collect rare species, you need one of these in your collection, especially if you like to like species from the type locality. This is the only piece of this material that we have to offer, and comes with a classic label from Czech mineral specialist, Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
