Item Description

The famous Berg Aukas Mine of Namibia has produced the worlds finest descloizite specimens and this is an excellent CABINET example. The sculptural, undulating crust is covered with scintillating rosettes of dark gray to brown decloizite blades. The clusters look like floral arrangements and the specimen is essentially pristine. This fine piece is a highly representative example of the species and famous locality, which closed in 1978. Showy material from the Rob Smith Collection.
