Descloizite is a highly desired vanadate found in numerous locations worldwide. This specimen is from the famous mine at Los Lamentos. Structurally, this miniature is composed of many finger-like stalactites, all covered by what must be thousands of lustrous, dark brown, 2 mm-size Descloizite blades. In person, the piece far exeeds what the camera can capture, as the Descloizites absolutely sparkle like rich, dark ice crystals. Last purchased for $400.in the 1990s.
