Diopside is an uncommon gem, typically found in stones under 2 carats in weight. A few years ago, there was a discovery of some beautiful gem quality Diopside in the Umba Valley of Tanzania, and this stone is one of the better examples that we've had to offer. This "cushion brilliant" cut gem has a soft green hue with very slight inclusions. It's bright enough that it would stand out in a piece of jewelry if you so desired, or if you're a collector looking for a nice Tanzanian Diopside, don't pass this one up for a great price.
