Item Description

Dioptase is the "poor man's emerald" they once said, when it came out in the 1980s. The sparkle and color saturation still command respect, but now so does the pricing - no more good material came out since the mid 1980s, and good pieces are now in high demand. this is a superb large miniature/small cabinet piece with the best color you can ask for. It is a 3-dimensional knoll of matrix completely smothered/draped in sparkling dioptase crystals. The piece just sparkles like glass! It is complete all around except for some very small dings if you look very closely on the display face, and a small area of damage to the back of the piece as displayed with the slender portion up (which cannot be seen from the front, in any case). THIS IS A TOP MINIATURE, easily valued $1250-1500
