Item Description
Superb specimen of gemmy, incredibly lustrous Dioptases from the famous Kaokeveld Region. The largest of these 'gems' is 1.5 cm, and they flash a brilliant green in the light. Contrast is enhanced by the powdery blue coating of chrysocolla, all on a calcite matrix. In person, this REALLY is colorful, with the blue-green contrast. The crystals are of a high quality, Tsumeb-like in their gemminess and intensity. Dioptase is particularly hard to shoot - this specimen is good in the pics, but better in person. Valued $2000
