Item Description

When it comes to Dioptase, Tsumeb stands as the finest producer of the species in terms of quantity and quality. There is no denying that the finest Tsumeb Dioptases are simply breathtaking, and in huge demand on the market. This specimen shows the highly desirable killer emerald green color that made these specimens so famous. Several very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, textbook trigonal prisms measuring up to 1.1 cm are sitting on classic white Calcite and minor matrix. There are a few contacts, hence the auction listing, but the quality, color and gemminess is great for the species and the material in general. It's common knowledge now that the value of Tsumeb specimens is on the rise, and fine quality specimens are now highly sought after, and prized more than ever by dealers and collectors alike. This piece was in our inventory with a price tag of $1,000.
