Dioptase on Malachite

Here is a shockingly sculptural Dioptase and Malachite combination piece from the Kaokoveld Plateau in Namibia - like none we have seen. This incredibly aesthetic specimen consists of a matrix as well as a few crystals and extended growths of bright fibrous green Malachite nicely accented by lustrous, gemmy, dark emerald green crystals of Dioptase to 1.5 cm, that are well isolated perched upon the Malachite. There are even patches of light green-blue to blue-green Chrysocolla in places. It's so artful how the piece extends to the left, to the right and vertically with Dioptase crystals perched strategically on the piece. The color contrast is absolutely elegant with the bright green, light blue-green and emerald green. The textural contrast is impressive too with the fibrous nature of the Malachite, the earthy character of the Chrysocolla and then, of course, the lustrous, well formed crystals of Dioptase! In person, this is simply one of the most beautiful and elegant combination miniatures of two copper minerals....it is hard to convey in video.
