Dioptase on Quartz

Item Description

Several, stark, sharp emerald green Dioptase crystals are scattered along a flattened, mostly transparent, doubly terminated Quartz crystal for dramatic effect. The lustrous, translucent to transparent Dioptase crystals range in size from 3 to 8 mm and are nicely isolated on the Quartz crystal. The Quartz crystal serves as a nice substrate for the Dioptase given its flattened habit, great luster, transparency and horizontal growth striations that reflect all incoming light! There are actually clusters of smaller Quartz crystals on the midsection of the Quartz as well where several Dioptase crystals are perched. This is a very unusual and very unique association for Dioptase from Namibia.
