Item Description

Beautiful sparkling, rich emerald green colored trigonal crystals of Dioptase coat the majority of the display side of this large miniature / small cabinet specimen from the Magma Mine. This locality is not what one thinks of when it comes to Dioptase specimens, and this piece would make a great addition to any Arizona suite, or a collection of Dioptase specimen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12281). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
