Item Description

Beautiful sparkling, rich emerald green colored trigonal crystals of Dioptase coat sections of the display side of this small cabinet specimen from the Ray Mine. This locality is not what one thinks of when it comes to Dioptase specimens, and this piece would make a great addition to any Arizona suite, or a collection of Dioptase specimen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2707). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
