Dioptase, Shattuckite and Quartz (Charlie Key)

Item Description

A showy and excellent combination specimen from recent finds in Namibia and the Charlie Key dealer stock. Very gemmy, lustrous, emerald-green dioptase crystals to 1.0 cm are scattered on the sculptural nubby, bubbly, botryoidal powder-blue shattuckite, which also encrusts the quartz matrix poking out. These dioptase crystals are as intensely gemmy as the best Tsumeb dioptases. A bit of bruising is noted, but this remains a highly representative and showy example of the combination species. A fine specimen with nifty color contrast.
