Excellent luster and a deep, emerald-green color highlight these Dioptase crystals from the Type Locality - Altyn-Tyube in Kazakhstan. The Dioptase crystals reach up to 1.7 cm, and many have some amount of gemminess, as seen in the green 'fire' that is so desirable. These crystals richly cover the siliceous matrix, and the partial etching adds visual interest.
