Highly lustrous and gemmy, dark emerald-green dioptase richly and aesthetically cover the 3-dimensional matrix on this EXCELLENT and showy specimen from the classic locality of Reneville, Republic of Congo. The largest crystal is 1.6 cm and it is doubly terminated. The bit of matrix has some chrysocolla, which is a nice accent. The bit of periphery wear is certainly not a detraction to this fine piece from the 1950 or 60s. Valued at $400.
