Item Description

Tiger is famous for its colorful secondary ore minerals, including some of the most distinctive Dioptase specimens extant. This piece is a wonderful example of the material featuring a drusy coverage of sparkling, emerald green micro crystals of Dioptase in radial sprays associated with minor tabular orange Wulfenite on matrix. Classic material from Tiger and certainly worth picking up if you collect Arizona minerals or worlwide Dioptase specimens. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5100). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
