These specimens are classics from Brazil, and in my mind some of the most attractive Dolomites out there. Not only are the crystals large and eye-catching, but they are actually GEM quality twins with beautifully contrasting selective faces of alternating WATER CLEAR clarity and matte luster. The crystals have a wonderful peach-golden color when backlit, and measure up to a full 3.6 cm. These are wonderful quality for the material as Dolomite is rarely seen in such attractive compressed twins like this, and the internal gemminess makes them all the more enticing. The Dolomites are in very good condition (only a few minor imperfections), and the piece honestly looks better in person. Lastly, the underside of the piece appears to be wonderfully contrasting light green colored Fuchsite (a chromium-bearing variety of Muscovite), but the material is not reported from this locality, so this is not confirmed.
