Item Description
Gorgeous, intense blue, water-clear gem to translucent aquamarine from Vietnam. The striking, tabular, hexagonal, glassy and lustrous crystal with a highly unusual notch on the back is doubly terminated. Both ends are etched with tiny spikes and the lower termination looks to be partially rehealed. A ding lower on the back side is out-of-sight sight in the very fine frontal view. This rich blue is seldom matched by the more prolific Pakistan, Brazilian or Namibian finds. The color saturation is top flight. Valued by the former dealer at $1600. Unusual! 31 grams.
