Item Description

The three small copper mines in the Guchab area were active from only 1908 to 1927 and produced superb dioptase specimens long before Tsumeb. This very fine specimen, from the Ed Bancroft Collection, features a large, gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated, bi-colored, rich emerald-green dioptase crystal perched on smaller crystals. These beautiful crystals have a very similar, yet slightly different look, than Tsumeb dioptase. The left termination is partially contacted. Very seldom on the market in this quality. Valued at $750-900 and comes with a label, that Ed used in an exhibit. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
