Item Description

A striking, rare, sharp and pristine, doubly terminated eosphorite crystal from this less well-known phosphate-rich pegmatite. The sharply terminated twins have rich brown color, high luster and are well-striated. Two areas of embedded muscovite blades add pizzazz. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Contacts on the left front edge and base of the back are noted, but have very little if any, damage. Specimens of this quality and form are VERY RARE from here. Ex Kay Robertson Collection with no collection number. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
