Item Description

VERY RARE and sculptural cluster of doubly terminated gypsum crystals recently collected at a secret location near Henderson, Nevada. The classic water-clear crystals have typically smooth and striated faces with waxy luster. A striking, scepter-like, broader, terminated gypsum crystal is dramatically perched on the longer terminated gypsum prism. The well-placed angled side car crystal, 4.5 cm long, is a fine accessory. A sidecar crystal on one side of the large gypsum has a broken tip and the lower end of the angled gypsum crystal has a cleaved tip with modest contacting. These are certainly minimal detractions to this exceptional well-crystallized Nevada gypsum specimen. A gorgeous gem selenite crystal, particularly for a USA locale!
