Item Description

A stunning 9.9 cm, doubly terminated, water-clear gypsum crystal with striking stepped-growth faces and one glass-clear face is dramatically perched on the iron oxide-coated gossan matrix. The matrix is beautifully accented with numerous smaller gypsum crystals. The terminations are in great shape and one small contacted/cleaved spot is noted on one edge. The back of the crystal is cleaved. This remains a very fine and aesthetic example of the species and famous locale. Ex Consie Prince Collection. Older material.
